Paving Checklist

  • Layout the project pulls with stringline or paint markings.
  • Locate and mark equipment access points.
  • Locate equipment storage area.
  • Locate designated truck cleanout location.
  • Use plans pavement marking sheet to locate pull widths and offsets.
  • Keep longitudinal joints out of wheel paths and offset from striping.
  • Minimize transverse joints by planning complete pulls to joints/bridges.
  • Identify and mark overhead obstructions (bridges/wires/etc.) in paving area.
