For night work add reflective pants or leg gators.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carry a whistle and flashlight.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Watch your back and others around you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stay out of equipment blind spots.<strong><s> <\/s><\/strong>Always be visible to equipment operators.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be alert to backup alarms and your surroundings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Watch both ways for construction equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don\u2019t walk or stand between equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leave yourself an \u201cout\u201d &#8211; Stay away from live traffic side of paving.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recognize basic job site hazardssuch as tripping hazards, moving equipment, and dust.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stay hydrated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be prepared for changing environmental conditions such as heat, rain, and cold.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you see something, say something.
